I just started using Media Jukbox version 8 and my ARCHOS Jukbox 6000 is not being automatically detected like the documentation states.  I can see it ok in 'My Computer' and Windows Explorer, but It dosent show up on the devices list within Media Jukbox. This problem occurs on my HP laptop as well (Celeron 750Mhz & WindowsMe).

Any help would be appriciated.

Almost certainly it is a volume label issue.

Check what the volume label is set to in My Computer. If it does not Archos or some variation of this, in MJ go to Settings->Plug-in Manager->Handheld->Portable Drives and click on "Configure". Modify the Volume Label to be whatever you are set to and MJ should detect the Archos.
