Burning for recognition

Can anyone give me some help?  Before I buy MJ it"ll have to work 100% and I have a problem with burning CDs;  they aren't recognized by my hi-fi.  Is there something I ought to be doing which I'm not?  

Please help me out, someone!!!

CD's of another color may work.

Have tried using different coloured disks but still no joy, any ideas?
