Help with MC10 & MC11
« on: December 02, 2004, 03:34:58 pm »

I have been using MC10 and love it.  I liked it so much, that I wanted to use it as a replacement of a sort for windows explorer and the other myriads of products I have tested.

So, I asked you guys for the ability to manipulate my data files the same as I do my music ones.  You replied that you have added some ability to this end in MC11.  I have been trying like heck to make it work the same, but I have not been able to get it to do what I want.

My trial period for MC11 expires today.  Now, my problem is that when I try to start MC10, it says I have to upgrade to MC11 because of the features or something that I am trying to use.  I would restore MC10 if I could get it to launch, so that I could use it while I continue to test MC11, but I can't get MC10 to open up.  I only have 4 restores licenses left for MC10 and would prefer not to use one if possible.  What should I do?

When you're running MC10, it's probably finding the MC11 data and telling you it's too new to use.

Install MC10 in a different directory and import your data again.

Or if you have a backup of MC10 data, you could use that.

I did this when I originally installed MC11.  I even put them on seperate logical drives.  But anyway, you are suggesting that I reinstall MC10 in its current directory which is different than that of MC11.  Will I need a new license for MC10 when I do this?  Do I have to unistall MC10 before I reinstall it?  Does this chew up another activation of my remaining 4?

Thx
