HTPC related questions.

I will be building a HTPC in the next few weeks.

I was thinking of driving it with MS Windows Media Centre 2005.  Does J River media centre have any issues with this OS?  Is it compatibile with the remote etc?

The HTPC will be situated in the lounge acting as a media client with a wireless link to a media server for audio (and possibly MPEG/AVI video later on).  Will this present any problems with recording/playback of TV locally on the HTPC?
