Auto Rip set back to 0 when new CD inserted
« on: January 08, 2005, 01:13:50 am »

I'm obviously doing something dumb... Recently when ripping CDs on a two CD system (1x DVD burner + 1 DVD ROM) I find that when I insert a second CD to be ripped, MC 11 jumps back and rips both from the begining even if the first was already almost complete! eg I insert CD 1 which starts ripping automatically - fine. I then insert CD 2 into the other drive when CD 1 say is ripping song number 5. Ato rip starts the rip process for CD 2 but instead of queueing behind CD1 (wait for it to finish) MC "resets" and will then Rip both CD & CD 2 irrespective of the progress already made on CD1!

This suddenly started happening without my making any changes (I think) and I have subsequently upgraded to MC 168 to try to resolve but no go...

What am I doing wrong guys?

Cheers, Mitch

Come on Guys, throw me a hint here? I'm going mad! Is there an FAQ on this that maybe I haven't read? ie Is it me or does it look like I have a problem? Cheers, Mitch

I removed your last message.  If anyone knew why you're seeing what you are, they would answer.  You've asked if anyone else sees the problem.  Let's wait and see.

Another option... If anyone feels I should (as I am such a dolt) stay on MC 10 which doesn't have this problem (but encodes MP3's so slowly....) pls say so... Mitch

Just a thought... condescending and possibly insulting remarks tend not to yield helpful replies. ;)
