MC11: Licensing again
« on: January 22, 2005, 12:47:31 pm »

So here I have following problem.
My MC11 trial period has expired. I tried to get MC10 license file but it does not work. So far so good (at least makes sense)
Now, I can't upgrade to MC11 until certain issues are resolved (see my post on MC11 and Unicode filenames) because
half of my library becomes disfunctional.
And because I can't run MC11 I can't even verify that those problems are fixed. As a result I will not be able to purchase MC11
at all (set aside the fact that JRiver will not benefit from my possible bug reports in beta testing).

Is there a solution to the problem (and no - I am not going to pay $10 for something that I am not sure will work for me)?
Would it make sense to extend trial for each new beta installed?
In the mean time I have to go back to MC10.
Thanks
Alex

And why would that be? If beta is released on 1/21/05 and set to expire 2/15/05 - how would it prevent you from making money?
And will you make more money if I don't buy the upgrade because I can't verify that I am buying usable product?

KingSparta isn't JRiver.  He's correct, but he's not speaking for the company.  But I am.

Alex,
I hope you may be able to appreciate that there is no perfect answer to this question.  We're just doing the best we can.  If it isn't right for you, I'm sorry.
