I'm not sure if it's a bug or just something with my system, but Version 11.021 hangs with a couple seconds left in the 1st song played.  If I hit Pause and then Play Again, it will play the end of the 1st song then play everything else without a hitch.

one of my drives will not burn mp3s to it using Media center 11, it starts but then starts to close the cd, and never closes and ejects the cd and it is still trying to close the cd.

the other drive (DVD Drive) works good

Really?  MC11 still appears much too unstable for my tastes (using .205)  MC11 seems to crash (it often freezes up and starts consuming 50%+ of CPU, becomes unresponsive, and even sometimes un-killable with CTRL-ALT-DEL necessitating a system restart) about every 48 hours vs. almost never with MC10 for me.  I'm actually reverting back right now.  Maybe my hardware has some weird conflict, but I don't think it's ready for prime time.

I would say something is worng on your ocmputer becuase I have a fairly old computer and MC 11 is very stable.  I can't remeber the last time it froze on its own for no reason.

I'm still getting "analyzing devices" whenever I put a new CD in to rip. I have to kill MC11 and then upon restart (of MC), I'm able to browse the CD with no problems. I've tried to reset the devices, with no luck.

Anyone else see this or should I just reinstall?

Might be best to start a new thread on this.  It could be another piece of software.  There were a couple of reports about similar problems (I think) with Nero's INCD.

Come to think of it, this only happens on my home system, so it may be something particular to that setup. I don't have InCD installed, however. I'll investigate more tonight.

Marko, I disagree. Too many big changes still comes around. Like in the new build. I have no problems with MC11, but I only use it for MP3 playback with multizone, nothing else. Everything with library management I do in MC10.

Marko's correct.  We're trying to finish up now so we can get a good clean 11.0 release out before we have to begin other work.

Mastiff's correct that we're still a ways away.

I would prefer a way to lock all fields in the library with a toggle switch from the user interface

1.) In build 213 it isnt showing any tag infos at the bottom left within the action windows, in build 212 it still worked.
2.) Crash and or freeze after Cue file import, while Cue files don't find the pertinent mp3.
3.) MC11 doesnt write artist/title into the cue file.
4.) Rip in Ape format always as incorrectly indicated although it 100% ok are.

I *really* want the ability to apply Album Replay Gain to iPods and other portable devices.

It's pretty much the only reason I paid for the upgrade.  Hopefully it'll make it in before MC11 gets kicked out the door.  :(

2.) Crash and or freeze after Cue file import, while Cue files don't find the pertinent mp3.

Have not noticed this,  I corrected all my cue albums in FB2K before i let MC look at them.

But i agree it should not happen, a helpful error message would be better.

3.) MC can't tag CUE tracks. It edits the CUE files (text) directly.
I would like MC to write directly to the CUE sheet if 'update tags when info changes' is ticked. Mp3cue plugin for winamp the first of its type that came out years ago could do this. FB2K does it flawlessly as well.

Other than that the bug that prevents me from moving to MC 11 is if once you have imported your cue album, analysed it etc. And then if you move the album, MC loses the cue files, it still knows where the big mp3 is but the cue entries are orphaned. That means they are considered broken links.

This absolutely needs to be fixed, a directory move within the MC tree happens quite frequently for me that i dont even think twice about it.
