Question...  I am using a second install of MC10 at work just to listen to music on my iPod.  But I have some network security issues running MC10 while at work. I need to be able to prevent MC from making any sort of a network request, poll the network, do anything at all that is network related. Running a local firewall on my workstation is not an option.

Is there a way to disable all network activity? If so is there any  documentation? Basically I need MC to be a "dumb" player for my iPod. Of course this is the exact opposite of what people want so I haven't had much luck searching the forums for info on how to do this.

I hate to give up using MC on my desktop as my iPod interface.

The only network activity from MC is webpage access and checking for updates.

Look in options to tune these things.

No, there's no way to disable MC's use of the Internet.  You could minimize activity by changing these options:

Start up in Media Libary, not on start page

Turn off "Check for updates"

Why are you concerned?  There's nothing evil going on.

thanks for the replies. it not so much a concern on my part as it is a company policy. they like to keep the internal network here locked down pretty tight. i've been running MC for years now at home and have never had an issue. however the IT guys at the office tend to be very protective

thanks for the suggestions, i'll disable as much as possible and see if that is enough to satisfy them.
