Problem with "Rename Files From Properties" in MC 11.0.218
« on: March 20, 2005, 10:52:47 am »

I have used the following rename expression to rename files in previous betas of MC 11 to append the artist name in brackets to the song title in albums which are compilartions...

[album artist (auto)]^[album]^[name]  [[artist]]

In MC 11.0.218 this now adds the test "[[artist]]" to the name of the song rather than the artist's actual name in brackets.

Also, "Fill properties From Filename" doesn't seem to work consistently.

Not sure if this is fixed in .219 or not.

Addition:  Just reinstalled .216 and problem exists there as well.

It seems to be for me, but there's a still a few other weirdnesses going on...

It seems that clearing the library and re-importing fixes some of these odd things which are happening...

Clearing and reimporting did not help.

Reinstalled build 205 and it works properly by adding the artist's name in brackets, rather than the text "[[artist]]".

I went directly from 205 to 216 (which has the problem) so not sure about intermediate builds.
