Hello,
Every time I try to import a set of files (Around 200) MC crashes.  Some of these files were in before so it is also updating file information as I changed some of the tags.  All of these files are readable by other applications.

I tried turning logging on fully but it provided no useful data.  Is there a way to see the file it does not like?

If not, can this be added sometime?

What's changed?  Any third party plug-ins?

Well I use a program called "The Godfather" to do the pre-processing of files (Tagging renaming etc).

Anyway I changed some files and renamed some files as well as added some more.  All files and their tags are readable by "The Godfather".

I then run an import on MC.  MC would then need to:
1)  Delete the files from the DB that were renamed.
2)  Updated file info on files that had tags changed
3)  Import the renamed and new tracks into MC

I introduced no other variables and I do not have any non-standard plugins.

Also, the message on the screen when it crashes is "Updating database with external changes".

Version 221 did not help either

Check the import log after the crash and look at the last line.

There's probably a file MC doesn't like.  If you find it, please send a copy of the file to matt @ jriver.com so we can better handle that case.

Is there a filename length limitation?

Well I am at a loss then as to why these files do not import.  They do not have any bad tags, it does not appear to be a filename length issue and it does not appear to be a special charector issue.

with 11.0.220 i noticed something

i cleared the lib since i sent 18,000+ music files thru Moodlogic

and reimported.

after it was done, it never showed any message it was done, it also never showed any files in media library (with get cover art checked, it never said it was trying to get art, who knows what it was doing)

after about 15mins of media center doing nothing and seemingly locked up i terminated it.

i then reloaded media center and the files were there in media library.

i have no idea what Media center was doing, maybe it should tell the user.

So, I moved the files to another folder and they imported.  This leads me to believe that it was an issue when updating specifically, not necessaraly the files. 
By moving them of course it forced the removal and adding of the files and did no updating.

So I guess there is some issue in the updating code.
