I have never had intellitype installed and other than play/pause/vol/mute the media keys have never worked in any version of MC for me.
First, you may want to check out an old thread I happen to have bookmarked:
Media Keys on MS Multimedia Keyboard. (Don't ask me why I have it bookmarked; I just do.
) I don't know if your answer is there, but it may be.
Second, I infer from your other thread that you have an ATI video card. FYI, ATI installs (by default) a service to intercept keystrokes (to allow you to change views, modes, etc. without going into the control panel directly). I switched back to Nvidia, so I don't recall the name, but it was always the first thing I removed after any Catalyst driver update. If you open the service manager, it'll be there right at the top since, as I recall, it does actually start with "ATI" and not some disguised name like some S/W drivers like to do.
Anyway, it could be that that is what is causing you your problems. <shrug> I say that because I, too, I have never installed Intellitype (not since the advent of Windows XP anyway), but unlike you, I have never had a problem with MC (v.9.0, v.9.1, v.10.0, or v.11) properly handling my MS Natural Keyboard's media keys.
