MJ and Logitech keyboard media controls
« on: October 16, 2002, 05:30:45 am »

I have a Logitech Cordless Desktop Optical keyboard and mouse. The keyboard has play and skip forward/back controls on it. These controls work in Media Player. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to get them to work in MJ since they don't do anything at the moment.

There are two ways.

There is the config setting you can make to the keyboard software.   I can't remember it off hand but if you do a search in interact you will find it.

Alternatively if you're on Windows 2000/XP you could use AlbumView.   It supports the multimedia keys.

The reason I put it in AV was that I have a Logitech keyboard too and I was fed up with the bloatware that came with it.

I'm not sure what you mean by AlbumView. Is that a setting in MJ or in the OS? I'm using XP Home BTW.

Go here for more information on AlbumView:

http://www.musicex.com/cgi-bin/downloads/plugins.pl?type=10&start=0&end=10&page=1

Install it, navigate to the plugin and look in Options/Hotkeys tab.
