I tried this out about a year ago and didn't purchase.
today I tried to download the trial but it said it had expired so I went ahead and purchased the licence.
When I click the link to on the restore page to register the licence code
I get an error saying
"Error opening file :C documents and settings\ james\local settings\ temporary settings\content.ie5\jo3dqs7u etc etc

I do not have a file local settings and it will not let me create one saying it already exists??
I have used up 4 of the 10 tries in doing this and I still cannot open j river
what do I do  thanks for your help Jim

Try these:

Reboot.

Re-install the latest version.  Please let us know which build you have next time you post.

Check your e-mail for a message from buy-button@jriver.com.  It contains an Install Key that you can save and exectute.  It's good for 14 days.  After that you'll need to use the restore process.
