Did you try the support for Girder on their site?  They've got a good forum.

It isn't an MC plug-in, so you won't see it in the tree.  Just follow their instructions for setup.  I know there are people running both MC and Girder on both forums.  If you get stuck, just post a specific question.

Mastiff's web site might have some info on Girder and MC.  It's in the FAQ on the MC board.

I can't get Girder to work, nor have I found any decent FAQs.

I'm looking for some basic step by step instructions and more importantly what to expect, i.e., what should I see of Girder from within MC? Does it show up in the Remote Control section of the options dialog if it's properly set up and working?

Cheers,
Jeff

Girder isn't an MC plug-in.  It's a program that can control any software running on a PC.

MC does support Girder plug-ins natively.

Try promixis.com for more information on what Girder can do and how to install it.  You'll also find info on NetRemote, which can control MC independently of Girder.

How does MC natively support Girder plug-ins???

I just tried putting the "Audigy 2NX" Girder Plug-in into the MC plug-ins folder but I was not able to load it via the plug-in manager in MC, nor did it appear anywhere in the Remote Control section.

Thanks,
Jeff

Did you choose "Add Plug-in" in plug-in manager?  I'm not certain that this plug-in will work.

Are you sure these plugins work? What exactly are they supposed to do within MC without girder? I tried the Winfast plugin for my Winfast TV remote but, predictably, it wouldn't start.
