Hi,

I'm looking for a way to set my logitech keyboard to change volume in 1% increments within MC11. The way it works now with 5% increments is not very slick, but I understand it was done recently as a comprimise to be able to cover as many keyboards as possible.

To me, having that kind of responsiveness really makes a big difference in the GUI. Jumping in 5% increments just doesn't feel very 'smooth' or 'professional'.

I was told by Rasmus in another post that it may be possible to set this up using mjextman.exe /Command VolumeUp  [Value] and VolumeDown [Value] (Default is 5%) - and to set them to 1%.

Can anyone confirm if this would be a viable solution and if so, how I could set this up so it's the default every time I launch MC11?

An interesting thing to note is that if MC11 doesn't have the focus in Windows, when I move the volume control on the keyboard even in MC11 the volume moves in 1% steps! It just changes to 5% if MC11 has the 'focus'...(which is why this is a little frustrating)...

Have you tried uninstalling the Logitech software?  There are other threads about this that you might find with a search.  I'm not sure it will help but it's worth trying.

I'll give uninstalling the Logitech SetPoint software a shot, however I don't actually run it by default - even though it's still installed on my system. I run it pretty much only when I want to check the battery levels of my mouse and keyboard.

Can anyone out there who has a Logitech keyboard with the circular volume control tell me if they have 1% volume steps in MC11 without Setpoint installed?

I use a cheap ps2 HP keyboard with a circular volume control and volume only changes by increments of 5%. I don't have setpoint or anything installed to make it run.

I've got a Logitech keyboard without software installed and I'm getting steps of 5% or 4% depending on whether MC is in focus or not. Strange.
