I downloaded an Audible file from Audible's website.
I can listen to it in MC.
However when I attempt to load the Audible file to my iPod I get the following message:

The following 1 file can not be transfered.  Common errors include insuffient rights or unsupported file type.

Remove the unsupported files and continue the transfer?

Errors:
Title of Audible - file not supported.

Anyone have any ideas of how to correct the problem.

Here is how I downloaded the Audible file:

1.  sign up for audible service
2.  download the audible plug in in MC using the service manager
3.  down load the audible file from audible's website via MC

any help would be much appreciated.

What file type (extension) is the Audible file?

Please post the full path for the file as it appears in MC. Also, did you let MC auto detect your iPod, or did you manually configure it in Tools->Options->Handheld?

I think I let MC auto detect my IPod.

Try taking your file and moving it to the root level on a drive (i.e. C:) and then reimport it into MC and try transferring it.

this yields the same result as it did from the documents and settings directory.

The file is a free sample from the Audible's website. It is the presidential debate.

Also note... a friend of mine succefully downloaded this file to his Ipod using the same MC version that I am using.

That would be me and I just verified that it still works. 
Our iPods are at the same software version as well.

The posted link isn't going to work though because it's tied to his audible session.
It's the first Bush/Kerry debate.

'Title of Audible' is what is in the 'Name' tag for that file? RemyJ, is that true for you as well for this file?

ok... I installed Windows Server 2003 over Windows Server 2000 and everything works fine now.
