Attempting to change display in Playing Now crashes MC11
« on: August 28, 2005, 04:50:13 pm »

If I open the Playing Now window, then right click and try to select Display from the context menu, MC11 crashes with the standard windows error message "Media Center has encoutered a problem ... blah...blah..blah".

I _think_ this only started to happen after re-installing G-Force 3 Platinum, (I'm a registered user), so it would recognise MC11.

Anyone else seen this problem?  Any suggestions?

Using MC11.0.309 & G-Force 3.0.1

Edit: Same thing happening with MC11.0.314

Wino,
Are you also using G-force?  There have been problems in the past, but the developer is very responsive and usually fixes them as soon as they're reported.

If not, any other third party plug-ins installed?

Of course they should have sub-versions listed!  I have emailed SoundSpectrum admins on this bad form for software development.

Ecstatic it works however!!!

Best media player ever.

FROM SOUNDSPECTRUM REGARDING G-FORCE VERSION UPDATES FOR JRMEDIACENTER FIX:
__________________

Thanks for writing to us.

We typically do increment our version numbers for software releases, but we occasionally post patches without incrementing our version numbers when it involves a minor or quick fix (the MC bug being one).  If we were to increment our version numbers in situations like this, it would bring thousands of users back to our site (you'd be surprised how many people monitor our version releases) and we don't want this to happen for only minor fixes that don't justify an incremental version number.

Enjoy G-Force and please tell your friends about us!
