MC 11 not recognizing skin.MJP extentions
« on: September 11, 2005, 10:50:15 am »

I cannot download new mini skins from JRiver site. I locate on the site a mini skin I want and download through the skin manager. The skin does not install  the only  file I get is a xxxx.mjp file that will not expand nor will MC 11 see it. Whats up?

There is a FAQ on this board, near the top, and in it is a link to plug-ins download problems.

WENT to the FAQ which you posted on Aug 3,2005. I could not locate any link that discussed the problem. There were numerous links about downloading the skins etc but no mention of the not being able to download.

This link explains how the process works.  The mjp file is the installer and can be opened with notepad.

many thanks.
I downloaded zip files and placed them in a seperate directory with the corresponding MJP file. I did not change the MJP file. I did not move the files to another computer. I double cliicked on the MJP file and it installed the skins.  I am going to download a couple more and try "stuff it" to expand the zip into a directory and then I am going to try  using the browseR button in the skin manager to install manually.
