I've read PeterS' "Quick Start instructions" for connecting an IPOD to MC11, and it seems to work up to a certain point with my iPod MINI.
Windows recognizes the IPOD as a drive letter (G:) and the volume is labeled 'IPOD'. I have disabled the IPOD in ITunes and deleted the Itunes database in the Itunes control folder on the ipod.
I start MC11 and it recognizes the iPod and shows it as a connected device (G:). I can transfer songs to the iPod and in Windows explorer they show up on the root of G:. However, when I look for the songs/albums/artists through the iPod, nothing shows up.
So I tried right-clicking on the iPod in MC11 and the only option that I get is 'ADD FOLDER'. I don't get rebuild database or any of the other options. I have reset the iPod, reset the device from within MC11, and run the apple iPod updater downloaded from Apple, and still the same issue occurs. Its like it doesn't see it as an iPod.
Any other suggestions? This is main proponent against me buying Media Center, which I love.
