Jim, thanks for the reply. System info at the bottom of the post.....just re-ghosting and trying a few other things...thank god for Ghost
Also, D/L v10 trial to see if that works. Nope...same problem with 10 (base release)!
As for the questions....
"Looks like you're in My Computer in MC. What happens if you import a directory from the device. Do you then see it in MC under Images?"Have not tried to open directly from say my camera....but import from folders gives same black.
It also looks like you're missing the thumbnails, not the images themselves. What happens if you double click on one?The image is black in all views, thumbnail, theater, full screen, Image view, Edit, even copies and pastes out of MC into say MS paint show a black image
Are your file extensions .jpeg or .jpg?
.jpg
MC has an option to rebuild thumbnails.
Yeah, I initially thought this was the problem as I orig. imported my library from my other PC, (a PIII)...and I tried all of the options, obscure and otherwise to remove and rebuild the thumbnails and eventually did a fresh install of MC11 and then XP and just looked at (and/or imported) one or 2 files (ie. not restore from lib. backup) all with same results.
Thanks for the help.
Odd one this...may have something to do with the way MC paints the images....as I said, other image types work fine.
