playlist management
« on: October 23, 2005, 09:25:53 pm »

I have several questions about playlist management.

1.  Where do people save their playlists to generally?

2.  It is easy enough to save playlists, but how do you manage versions?

3.  HOW DO YOU RESTORE PLAYLISTS THAT ARE SAVED.   This does not seem to work.

Please help.

Thanks,

Scott

When I import previously exported playlists I do get them under "Recently Imported Playlists", but the playlist is empty.

I am importing via the "import media" drop down.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Scott

Yeah I just observed this problem also. I noticed it as a result of trying to use "MC11.exe /Import".

This problem means there is no way to automate playlist imports using MC11.exe. I was hoping to script a way of saving and importing Playing Now playlists for Theater View as this can't be done currently.

JRiver team:- if drag and drop works then why can't it be done by the other import methods? Is there any chance that this bug could be adressed in 11.1??

Hey!   :)

I have several questions about playlist management.

1.  Where do people save their playlists to generally?

I save them in the MC library.

2.  It is easy enough to save playlists, but how do you manage versions?

MC does that automatically. If I change or delete files MC keeps the playlists up-to-date.

3.  HOW DO YOU RESTORE PLAYLISTS THAT ARE SAVED.   This does not seem to work.

They are included in the library backup/restore.

I make the playlists with MC, I keep them inside MC and I use them with MC. Though, sometimes I export playlists for other applications. I think that works fine.
