IPod Video album art
« on: January 07, 2006, 02:13:47 pm »

I am running 11.1.78 and  an IPOD video.
I copied the first half of my library over to the Ipod and the album art appeared correctly.

For subsequent copies and synchs, the Ipod displays random cover art for each song

Try the latest build of 11.1 from the MC board here.

Downloaded the latest build and tried to synch 3 files.
No change - the Ipod still displays random cover art for those 3 files

I have the 5G iPod and have no problem with the cover art.

MC will not, however, sync up changes on the iPod for album cover art.  So I delete everything from the iPod and resync.  Then I have no issue.  I would suggest you try the same thing.

I would, but I have over 3,500 files to synch.  Takes time
Thanks

I understand.  I have almost 12,000 tracks on my iPod.  It takes almost 5 hours to sync after deleting everything but that is the only way I can make it work.  Anyway, the MC staff will eventually fix this (I hope).

What version are you using?  Please copy your system info from MC Help and paste it here.

If you haven't already done this, I would suggest initializing the ipod, and then resync all of your files back onto it.  If there was a problem with the way the art work was originally uploaded, I don't think it will get corrected unless you upload them all again fresh.

You could just let it run once overnight while you sleep.

what do you mean by this? will it refresh all the files on the ipod by initializing and find all the album art? or will i have to rip all the CD's again? will i need to have space for all the audio files if it extracts from the ipod? or will it do all of this on the ipod, please give more detail, this is my first ipod, so i am new to all this stuff.
