We're number one!  ;)  Who would have thought that the release might be all 1's and be posted on the first of the month?  Spooky.

I am watching "Time Tunnel" first season I got it from Amazon.com today

We can take a trip back in time to Year 1111, Month 11, Day 11

All you young gents "Time Tunnel" was a TV show back in 1966.

I remember Time Tunnel (steady on, old stick...only from re-runs - I wasn't old enough to watch it when it first aired)...I'm quite an Irwin Allen fan...

I have the COMPLETE (three seasons worth) of Lost In Space on DVD. I have yet to get other faves like "Land Of The Giants", although I have the original "Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea" on DVD as well. Also all the original "Outer Limits" etc.

I find these old shows much more fun than the rubbish which is on nowadays (sounding like my father here...).

Even though the special effects are cheesy, the dialog crummy, and the evil characters transparent (ala "Doctor Zachary Smith" from Lost In Space, or "Fitzhue" from Land Of The Giants), they just have a sort of timeless charm for me...

I use DVDProfiler (http://www.intervocative.com/dvdpro/Info.aspx) to maintain a database of my collection.

Because I'm a registered user, I get to export directly out of DVDProfiler to their webserver.

Here is a link to my DVD collection: http://www.intervocative.com/dvdcollection.aspx/Sludgepit if you're interested...

While on the subject of old TV series, don't forget The Prisoner (to which I was only introduced recently). Not sci-fi, but strange and brilliant none-the-less.

Don't forget "Raumschiff Orion". I'm not sure if it ever was synchronized from german to english.

Acording To Amazon.com It will be out shortly, and i have a pre-order on it

I have not really Tried To Keep Any Type Of Digital Database In Any Program including MC11

Has Anyone Tried To Keep A Digital Database In MC? And What Does "DVDProfiler" Have That MC Needs To Make It A Dgital Database For Your DVD Library?

I Do happen to have over 1000 DVD's Along With A Over Full 300 DVD Jukebox.

So This Could Be A Good Idea For Me.

King,

I also have The Prisoner boxset...a classic...I can't figure out what the white wobbly ballon that chases people is supposed to be..but whatever...

If you liked UFO, you might like Space 1999 as well...(I have both)...I love UFO...everyone smokes ALL the time...

You can get a free trial of DVProfiler from their site, and give it a try.

It's a bit like YADB. When you buy a new disc, you punch (or if, like me, you're a gadget nut, and have a barcode scanner), or scan the UPC into DVDProfiler. It then goes and fetches all the details of the DVD (including cover art). This is stored locally in a custom database. If you're a paying customer, you also get to upload your database to their server, so that family member can see what's in your wishlist for example, or simply to brag to friends about how big your collection is 8-)

It has many groovy features, like...If I'm viewing the details for a particular show, I can click on any of the actors, and it will pop up a window showing all the DVDs in my collection which have that actor in...

You can create reports (lists of your collection) using the built in report editor.

Give it a try...I only have just over 550 DVDs, and I couldn't live without it...

They are supposed to be bringing out a pocketPC version which will sync with your PC based database, but that hasn't eventuated yet. I have found a free piece of software which will convert an export from DVDProfile so I can carry my collection around with me on my PocketPC (handy if you're forgetful, and keep buying the same DVDs twice!!)
