Did you try the support for the sound card? Or updating the sound card driver?
Yes, I also logged a support request with them and I do have the latest driver. I'm waiting to hear back. It's a pro-quality M-Audio 192 card.
In the mean time, I am interested to see if anyone else has the same symptoms:
1) approx .25 sec of hiss at the lead-in of DTS tracks (ripped from CD).
2) silence if their soundcard is set to "data only" when playing non-DTS tracks when MC is using ASIO. DTS tracks play fine, NO hiss at lead-in when sound card is set to data only.
I don't know much of anything about the ASIO standard. I guess I was wondering of there is somehting that MC is not sending along with the data to tell the card what kind of data to expect; DTS or non-DTS. And that's why there is silence when playing non-DTS tracks. Everything I've read in previous posts on the subject says that you have to use ASIO mode in MC and set your card to Data Only. But like I said, when I do that, regular non-DTS tracks just play silence. The DTS tracks play fine,
no hiss at lead-in with this setting.
I appreciate all the work you guys put into this. It would be great to get it figured out.
