filename (name) copy to name
« on: February 13, 2006, 03:48:42 pm »

If I want to copy filename (name) field to name field (or vice versa), Media Center always adds an extension (e.g. mp3 or wma) to the name. How can I avoid this (so making filename(name) field and name field exactly the same)?

try using the 'fill properties from filename' tool instead of the copy fields tool.

untick directories.

in the filename field, enter [name] and click OK

as always, try a few before you try many.

thanks, works fine for filename(name) to name; can I also do it other way around? (typing filename(name) instead of name in the expression did not work)
