Add to Playing Now in Shuffle Mode
« on: March 06, 2006, 10:41:11 pm »

I'd love an easy way to do this:
1) I'm in Shuffle mode playing some shuffled tracks (I've already heard some of them)
2) I find another CD I'd like to listen to, so I do something (Add to Playing Now seems the obvious choice)
3) The new CD is shuffled into the remaining UNPLAYED tracks

For example:

Original Playing Now:
1 - track A
2 - track B
3 - track C (now playing)
4 - track D

Add album/playlist/artist/whatever with tracks E, F, G

Resulting Playing Now:
1 - track A
2 - track B
3 - track C (now playing)
4 - track G
5 - track D
6 - track E
7 - track F

There are multiple ways to do this today, but none of them are convenient.

IMHO Add to Playing Now should work this way by default in Shuffle Mode and Send To -> Play -> Add (to end) (Note: I added the "(to end)" text) should work the way Add to Playing Now does today.

I would like to see this feature implemented too.

I've also asked several times about a feature to re-shuffle only the UNPLAYED tracks (from current to bottom of the list). Currently, when you perform a reshuffle of Playing Now, the already played tracks got shuffled too, so you are forced first to delete the already played tracks.

Thank you.
