I own helium it has gotten more confusing, so I refuse to use it.

it was good at one time for editing tags, and checking the mp3's for sync errors

Ahh well that i would like to see as well. My own system for album ratings (since v10) works great, but its manual.

What i'm not sure is whether he's talking about calculated album ratings or whether they are being pulled from AMG for example.

If were gonna do album ratings, we should do Artist ratings as well like YME! does.

While on the topic of ratings, the top display area absolutely needs to have an editable ratings bar for songs. :o

Maybe add in a drop down for moods as well.

OK this is self assigned for artist score, i was looking more for a derived one.

I have rated so many tracks from many artists, give me a league table etc of my 20 top artists, based on an average of what i rated their tracks. Said artists should also have at least 5 or more tracks already in the library to qualify.

The same applies for album ratings too.

Helium automatically calculates the album rating as an average of the track ratings as you enter them.

This has been talked about forever, why can't we get 1/2 star ratings, i got so many albums that are 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 instead of 3 or 4 that its not funny.

I really hope this is added before too many more versions go by.

I am continually impressed with mc11, the new floating thumbnails with drop shadows really make the whole thing look neat and clean.

Thanks

ok, which would you prefer for half ratings

a half star or 1/2

i was thinking a dbl click would toggle between half or full.

OK, that shows half ratings for tracks. For Album Ratings...i preferred the way MC showed a score rounded up to one decimal point in the library browser in 11.0.

That's more granular than using stars for album ratings.
