some help here please -- remote server

i was wondering how to control my server (which has the pro sound card connected to a dip and dac) running mc11 from my laptop, running also mc11, which is located at my listening chair ? they are connected on the lan through a broadband router. any help ? thanks !!  :)

Check out Remote Server -- it's a web server that's built into MC that allows it to be controlled from anywhere.  (Options > Startup > Remote Server)

so uh.. how do i get it to work ? all it says is :Run remote server on port: 80 with a checkbox...

ok ! i got it to work ! it's so nice to be able to change songs from my listening chair. i have a small problem though. sometimes media center crashes and i don't know why...

There are a lot of reasons for crashes.  Audioscrobbler is pretty common, but there are more in this thread:
