Did you ever get an answer to this question?  I suspect the solution is to put the MC/Media Server program in the Startup menu.  However, I haven't tried this so I can't be sure.  I'm going to try it later this evening.  I'll post back and let you know what I have found.

Cheers,

I'm not really experienced in using Media Server so I could be way off but it seems to me that the answer would be Options>Startup>"Run Remote Server on port:80".
That may not be the answer at all but I hate that this has gone unanswered for so long.

I did a little research and I think the above is either not right or incomplete. Do an index search in Help for "Server" and you'll get a lot of information.

Remote Server is different.  Running Media Server in Windows Startup would work.

On the other hand, I don't have a clue what a rod is.

I said it before: this "remote server" name is confusing. Why not "web interface server" or better, some expression that doesn't have the word 'server' at all in it? "web interface host(ing)"?

That's probably why I asked if it were possible to update the content on a MC Server while using a MC Client.  The name confused me.

Does this mean there is a web page associated with this server?  I just hit the IP:Port and got nothin in a browser.

I verified it.  If you configure the Library Server once in MC, after that to always have the server start without having to launch MC, simply drag the JRiver Media Server program into the Startup program group.  This will automatically start serving the store media on your machine so MC can pick it up from other machines.

This is what you were looking for, right?

1 rod = 16.5'
There are exactly 320 in a mile.
There are exactly 640 acres in square mile.
So which came first? The acre, the mile or the rod?
All measurements are more or less based on an arbitrary unit - like the length of the King's foot is 1 foot.
Time keeping is based on a physical constant of 1 rotation of the earth = 1 day but the division of it into 24 hours, etc. is very arbritrary. Who decided?

These things didn't match up well long ago, we have recently fudged them to make them line up.

Historically an acre was defined as the amount of land you could till in a day with one oxen.  Not a very precise measure at all, but we have made it precise.

Ah. Kind of like "horsepower". It's precisely measurable now but wasn't originally.
Still, all concerned had to agree on an arbritrary unit as being the base.

We better start talking about "Media Server on Windows Startup". We wouldn't want to be in trouble with "The Man".

Is thread deviation a big issue on this forum?

I'm good.. I still have more posts about the topic, than I don't in this thread.  :)
