iPod crashes MC10
« on: May 30, 2006, 12:52:14 am »

I've been absent from these forums for a long time now, happily running MC10.0.173 and periodically syncing my 3G iPod with it.  But today, all of a sudden, clicking on the iPod "drive" under Drives & Devices immediately crashes MC.  Any ideas on how to proceed, diagnose, whatever?

Maybe you installed new iTunes software?  Disable the ipodhelper program that runs in the background.

iPod support in MC11.1 is much better.

Nope.  But I tried killing off the iTunesHelper process anyway.  Didn't make any difference.

That wouldn't surprise me.  But I haven't had the time to download 11 and evaluate it thoroughly enough to feel comfortable about forking over that $26, assuming that's still what an upgrade costs.  After all, there's no going back.  Of course, if MC11 supported dynamic playlists, I'd jump all over it :)
