Having iPod nano 1G trouble

Hey everyone,  I've got a question.  I recently bought a 1 gig Ipod nano, and I have done everything that I can, but I can not get album art to display on it.  I don't know what I'm doing wrong.  I read what others have posted on here about the same issue, and it seems that for them, it has been resolved.  I unfortunatley am not very computer apt, so I can't figure it out.  HELP ME! lol
