URGENT: CD burning issue
« on: July 22, 2006, 12:03:42 am »

Two family members are going on Ragbrai in like 6 hours so I need an answer ASAP, please!

I am trying to burn them mp3 CDs but it keeps saying that the files won't fit!  I can get at least 150 mp3's on the CD but it stops me at around 50 or so.  I have tried setting every single re-encode option and it doesn't seem to help.

I just checked and it restricts the CD contents to exactly what the FLAC files are before re-compression!  This obviously won't work because I want them really small so I can fit ~150 songs on a CD!

I think I found a quick solution (kind of).  I can just create groups of songs, convert them and save them to the desktop, then burn them with Nero.  This should work but I still want to figure this out for future burns.

I believe you can burn anyway, even if MC says they won't fit.

Is there a good solution to getting around this confusing problem?  I would be willing to use CBR if that's what it takes to get it to not warn but that doesn't even work.
