This is a plugin that checks for new album releases for the artists in your itunes database.

I'd really really like this functionality in MC or an MC plugin.

Any chance of this happening, or does anyone know of a service that sends new album notifications for a list of artists?
I don't want general notifications trying to sell me stuff or by genre like yahoo music does.   I want it to only track the artists I currently have in my library.
I'd even type all the artists into a website if I have to.

I alway thought with MC's complete album logic, that it would be pretty sweet if it could show all the albums/specific songs you need to complete your collection with links to purhcase.  That would be what's known as a killer app.  An easy way to purchase the exact thing a consumer wants is always a good thing.

Well, I found this.
It's nowhere near as good as a plugin would be.
You have to key in all your favorite artists names.
But it'll meet my needs in the meantime.
