Flac support
« on: September 03, 2006, 01:19:34 am »

Where can I find the lastest falc decoder.  I installed the one on the web and I still can't recognize and play and FLAC files.

I've read there was a bug at one time.

Hello,
I installed a these files and still no luck in recognizing FLAC files.  Can you tell which file I need to load....there's too many and maybe I installed the wrong version to something.

Hi!
Check that You have flac-files associated with MC.
In MC select Tools > Options > File Associations.
Check that you have FLAC (flac) checked.

Hi,
FLAC is already checked.  Media center found maybe 15 files, but I have over a hundred FLAC files.  Plus it won't play any of those FLAC files.  I'm thinking the decoder might be wrong.  Can you tell me the specific file or files I need to download?

Thanks..

scthom is the author and the thread he keeps is on this board.  It's called "Flac plugins".  From that thread:

The latest version is always available at http://mcplugins.sourceforge.net

If you have a lot of files that give you trouble with the latest decoder, double check they're not corrupt by using the command-line version of flac.
