Will there ever be a plugin decoder for Flac?

There is one I wrote for Media Center (versions 11 and 12), but it's not backwards compatible with Media Jukebox.

Hello Scot,

Thanks for the reply.

So basicely what you are saying is that I have to upgrade to MC.

That's correct.  I believe that MC11 is the first version for which scthom had a plug-in.

I use Win2K and the only thing Bill Gates does is trying to anoy me, by lanching new versions that will only work with XP.

The general public does not know the beauty of MJB.

In the days of MJB 7 I used it on NT4, and all I can say is that the support from JRiver was always excellent.

Is there a way I can write a plugin for MJB 8, I will need some help to get started.

You're welcome to start with my source code.  It's open source (see the sourceforge link below).  But you'll have to get your hands on the JRiver SDK for the previous versions.  After that it shouldn't be too bad.

Hello Scot,

I did some programming in the 90's and a lot has changed since then, so:

Where can I find the SDK and what else do I need or does the software development kid, contain everything I need.

Pretty much the SDK is what you need.  After that you need to start tweaking the example from the SDK or my source to adjust to the different functions required by that version.

And then the C compiler of your choice.
