I just figured that MC12 was back to a previous eject mode for the iPod (as seen in early MC11 beta versions).
We had discussions in the past about all this, and we ended up getting an OS-level eject, which I thought was fine:
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=31744.0The problem with not fully ejecting the iPod is that if you have "sync on connect" selected, sync the device, close MC, restart MC, it will automatically sync again.
Contrary to what's been said here before, it is definitely not a good idea to unplug the iPod while the "do not disconnect" message is still displayed, even if your sync has been long done and it looks like there's no transfer going on. Doing this, I found that sometimes all the playlists and the music is gone from the iPod menu and you need to reset the iPod for them to reappear.
In addition, if you can eject at the OS-level you can select "sync on connect" and automatically eject after sync. What happens then is that you can just plug-in your iPod, go get a coffee, and take your fully synced iPod back.
But I don't want to restart the whole plea about this.
Is the OS-level eject gone forever or will it find its way back in MC12?
