Library Server Setup
« on: October 18, 2006, 03:38:12 pm »

I've been having issues at work with the amount of music I have stored on the drive that is starting to affect performance.  So I decided to see if I could get the libary server running from my server at home. I think I have everything all set, and I can connect to the library from work but I don't see any files. What could I be missing? I searched the help and forum but no luck. Any ideas? TIA

Firewall "seems" like everything is o.k. It doesn't seem to download anything. The only thing that looks like it's connected is that it shows the IP address of my library at the top and in the taskbar. Does the library download using the same port as the library server?

(edit)

I went ahead and added authentication username and password, and I am not getting the prompt on the client, so maybe I'm not really connected? I would think it would come back with an error or something.

Try changing the port (on both the client and server), you may be hitting a different server program.
