MC 12.0.98 added the ability to download or play Flash (FLV) videos from Google Video or YouTube. You'll see new additions under Video in the tree.
The old thread, now locked is here:

This currently needs to be configured manually in MC. [EDIT -- no longer true -- see
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=12;topic=36564.3#msg251177 below]
1. Download FLVSplitter.ax
ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/FLVSplitter.axand put it in the MC12 directory.
2. Register it by typing at a Command Prompt:
C:\Windows\System32\regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 12\FLVSplitter.ax" (the quotes are needed)
3. Download and install ffdshow from CCCP at
http://www.cccp-project.net/ or from Celtic Druid (if you want to walk on the bleeding edge) at
http://celticdruid.no-ip.com/xvid/ (thanks glynor)
4. Configure ffdshow (Start Menu > FFDShow > Video Decoder configuration) and tell it to use libavcodec for the FLV1 format.
5. MC Options/Playback/Directshow
Set FLV source and ffdshow raw video filter
If google and youtube don't show up under video, go to tools Tools/Options/General/Advanced/Features and make sure Web Media is checked.
At this time, the "play" function in MC won't work. You'll need to download the FLV file from google or youtube. Playing directly from the server (http://) is causing the filters some problems.
We'll work on making this simpler in the next few builds.
