I see such little point in going with anything smaller than 500GB drives because as you add more drives, you decrease reliability greatly.  Plus, if you are just using 250's, just go with a 500 instead of 2 250's.  The price is a little lower but reliability is a key factor for most people.

Plus, whatever size you start with is the size you'll have to stay with because you cannot really mix different sized drives or you will lose all the extra space so if you start with a 250 and add 500's, they'll only add 250!  So you're stuck at the 250 upgrade path.  It's cheap but bad future proofing.  I figure 750's are too expensive so I went with the 500's.
