So I've been thinking about Theater View's Search function, and I think I got an idea that might work...
First of all, incorporate the filtered keys thing we talked about in another thread. This will make typing your searches faster as it'll automatically skip over keys that don't match up to anything.
Second, have it ignore punctuation when searching. So that typing in "dont" will find things like "don't".
And then comes the big stuff...
When you type in a search, have it match on anything. Not just song name, but Artist, Album, Genre, etc. If it matches to an Artist, then show a folder for that Artist and let us drill into it the same we do normally. Same goes for Genre, Album, etc.
My thoughts at that point, are that if you entered an Artist folder from a search, then you should then be presented with Album folders. If you entered an Album folder, then you should see Tracks for that album, etc. Entering a Genre search result can show you Artists, then Albums.
How does that sound? Doable? Useable?
