Developers -
I just checked my machine here at work, where I had installed and had issues with the first builds that showed the JRShellExt issues. I had build 12.0.144 installed currently. I checked the JRShellExt.dll file and it was:
Version: 1.0.23.0
Created: 12/21/2006
Size: 368,640 bytes
I did the process I described just above and installed 145. Now the file is:
Version: 1.0.23.0
Created: today
Size: 364,544 bytes
So, it's reporting the same version, but is obviously different. It STILL won't let me delete the old file (now named JRShellExt.bak) -- gives me an access denied. Right click menus in Explorer seem to work okay (speedy and all that). Shell extensions ARE enabled on this machine. I would say that I noticed on some of my home machines that having shell extensions enabled negatively impacted the time taken for windows to display the right-click context menu, even with builds available this past weekend.
