I have downloaded the program, paid for the Licence Key, saved it to my desktop and when the startup screen asks me to restore, I point to the .mir file and it then tells me it failed to extract the licence??.

Where do I go from Now?

thanks, ive looked but cant find the answer to my problem. I have also re installed, tried it on another pc, and requested more licence files, but they all do the exact same thing.
Can i get another different licence file someway??

Check your system date.

Use IE to restore.  The license should be automatically installed when you do.

Make sure your version matches your license.

What version of MC are you using? 

Don't post your license.

tried IE, but that wont work, time and date look fine. it says MC 11 on the setup file, but the start of the licence key has MC12?.  is this where my problem may be?

Try updating MC11.  You may have an older version that won't use an MC12 license.

Just some ideas to help correct some common problems with mc

If this is the case and other users have had this same problem, JRiver can maybe add to mc in future versions of mc a clearer message to users to maybe use a newer version. Since MC for the last Few versions JRiver has allowed users to use a one version older than there current license.

About the date, maybe there could be a way for MC to check the users date, and the J River Server Date Or Current Date when Restoring To Inform The User That There System Date Is Wrong And Allow Them To Correct There System Date With Maybe Just A Push Of A Button.
