Norway is a rich country with lots of disposable income and leisure time (from Wikipedia, the GDP per capita is the second highest in the world behind Luxembourg and 50% higher than in the US). I'm sure Apple would think twice if the Bay area for example, outlawed their DRM.

Add to this that France and Germany are already challenging fairplay and I can assure you that Apple has plenty of lawyers on the task.

Well Microsoft's Zune is a closed system and so far there has been no action by the US.
In fact the Zune player won't even play songs that have been purchased from microsoft thru the now shuttered MSN music store.

In fact I wonder if Microsoft's decision to abandon the use of playsforsure in their own product is the reason Real developed yet another DRM for its Rhapsody subscriptions.
After all what's to stop Microsoft from eliminating the competition by breaking playsforsure.

Thank God we can still buy CD's.

Totally, I dread the day that they stop selling them, as yet I've spent not a single
penny on online purchases, due to things like DRM, lack of quality, and lack of value, compared to CD's.
