License problem with MC12
« on: January 25, 2007, 02:50:52 am »

I have MC 11.1 installed and when I attempted to install a trial of MC 12.0.151 several odd things happened. First, I received a message telling me that my 30-day trail had expired. So I uninstalled the MC 12 download, but when I tried to open MC11, it told me I needed to use the restore function. I chose the Internet option and then received four different emails ,each one telling me that I was limited to 10 restores per year and now I have just 1 left. So, I have several questions: 1) is MC 12 incompatible with Vista (which is what I'm running)?; 2) how can I get credit for the the restores that were incorrectly sent?; 3) if I have 10 restores per year, shouldn't I have received 10 beginning 1/1/07? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron

Install the latest version of MC11 (build 201) if you don't have it.  You can find it on the MC11 board.

I've reset your restores.

Restores are re-issued back 365 days after a restore is used

So if you had 10 restores and you used a restore 25-jan-2007, the restore would be reissued 26-Jan-2008.

you can save a restore to your hard drive, and it will be good for 14 days or so, and in the 14 days you can restore your computer as many times as you want without using a restore from the JRiver Server.

If you had 10 restores and used 10 restores on the same day, all 10 would be reissued 365 days later.

JRiver If Asked has normaly reset the restores for a user if they have had a problem and they have run out of restores.
