Activation Problem
« on: January 30, 2007, 02:55:06 pm »

Hi I need help.
I installed MC11 from a CD that came with a magazine.
When I saw MC12 was available I purchased it on line, I got confirmation of purchase and registration code, followed the instructions but without any luck.
Then I thought it not work because the one I had installed was MC11 so I installed MC12 and tried again but I still get message "we could not find this license"

I don`t know what to do, I purchased MC12 on 7 Jan.2007 and have all the paper work to prove it.

Please help me out as I find it difficult to post as well
Regards

Victor

Try installing the build here:
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=38672.0

Then go to the restore page and enter your Registration Code.

Also, no license shows for the email address you used to register for Interact.

Do you have the email receipt for JRiver Media Center? (don't post your restore code or your license will have to be revoked)

Thanks.

What browser are you using? IE is recommended.

Hi Matt
I have downloaded from where you told me to and still no go.
Keeps saying can not find this license.
The purchase date was 4 Jan.2007 and confirmation or proof of purchased was sent to victor@gibtelecom and victor_spiteri@yahoo.co.uk.and that I could also view my invoice online and give web address.
The email subject says inKline Global Purchase Confirmation.
Hoping for a solution.

Hi

I am using IE.
I am 70 and am a bit rusty and not as bright any more so it takes a while for me to grasp things.

"inKline Global Purchase Confirmation"

This is in no way related to JRiver, the makers of Media Center.  Perhaps you bought another program as well.

Please re-read the purchase email carefully.

Hi Victor,

Can you run Media Center? If you can, click "Help" and then click "Registration Info". It should show that it is registered to you.
If you cannot, reinstall the latest version of Media Center (available here), then restore your license.

When you write back, please take the time to give us details: exactly what steps you are going through, and exactly what is breaking.
I know this is difficult for you, but we need the information to find out what is going wrong.

Thanks,

j

Sorry Matt

You are right that was another program that I bought.
This one was on the 7 Jan. 2007 from wave@rover.jriver.com on behalf of buy_button@jriver.com to victor@gibtelecom.net Subject Registration Code for JRiver, inc.Media Center 12 with Registration Code as proof of purchase.
It also says registration should activate automatically.
When I go to the restore page and click to register the code is inserted automatically.
So I don`t know where I`ve gone wrong.
Back to you.

Victor

Install this player:
ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/MC12/MediaCenter120157.exe

Then, using Internet Explorer, enter you registration code here, and click "Restore":
https://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/restore.cgi

Media Center should be licensed after this.
