In the Media JukeBox features list, it says this:

"DVD Playback - MEDIA JUKEBOX supports DVD playback. This requires DirectShow 6.1 software and an mpeg2 decoder installed on your PC."

How do I know if I have "DirectShow 6.1 software and an mpeg2 decoder" installed on my PC?  I did a file search for those words and nothing came up.  I looked for them on www.download.com and there were some results, but I couldn't tell if those available programs WERE what I needed, or if they USE the same programs that I was looking for in the first place.  What would be some examples of the more commonly accepted software programs that would meet those requirements?

I'm pretty sure it just means you need DVD playing software installed on your computer (PowerDVD, WinDVD, etc). If you have a DVD-ROM drive it almost certainly came with a DVD program.

You can also get free dvd (mpeg-2) filters at this link:
http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/encoding_plugin.html

Look for the link "Free DVD Filters" and use the installer program. It just places two files (one for video, one for audio) into your system directory.

Looks like both requirements may be included in MicroSoft DirectX 8.0 (which I already have).  If anyone thinks this is NOT true, please let me know.  Thanks!
