restoring playlists
« on: February 16, 2007, 02:30:35 pm »

Had a computer freeze today while I was multitasking between MC and other things.
After a reboot and restarting MC, everything was fine except my extensive group of playlists and smartlists are GONE.  The only one showing under the tree is "recently imported".
Can you tell me the name of the file that stores the playlist info so that I may restore it from backup?

Try restoring from a backup.  They're made automatically.

I just tried exporting and importing a playlist today for the first time. Reading the help it seems the MPL format is the best since it has all the field information saved in an XML format. If that's the case, why does Export All Playlists save the playlists in M3U?  Or it should at least give the option of which format to use.

How do you modify the default setting to establish a specific area for saved and exported playlists? Also, I agree with dcwebman that a choice should be provided for playlist format (e.g., .m3u, .mpl). Thanks,
