Vista? Or another problem
« on: February 24, 2007, 06:03:23 pm »

I like to try this program for the trial period of 30 days, but every time when I import a map the program stops. I have tried this several times with different maps, but the result is the same.
Is it possible this program is not meant for Windows Vista or is anything else wrong?

It works with Vista.

What kind  of map are you importing?

I have several maps with mp3-files. When I import a map with 40 files it works. But a big map with 1000 files for example the program stops. The same is when I close the program: I have to stop the whole proces by taskmanager.

Do you mean directories?

Can you narrow it down to a single file? Take the 1000 files and split into two sets of 500 files. Import the each set separately. One should break.
Split that one into two sets of 250 files and try again, splitting until you can narrow it down to a single file that is breaking.

Yes, I mean directories.

You think the fault is caused by one file, I wil try it, it's a possibility of course.

But the second problem is closing the program. Or do you think that it is caused by the same file?

Indeed, that was the reason!!  :)   I don't know if it's right that the program stops, but one file (of 10.000!) is a WAV-file and it stops by importing that file.
The another problem - impossible to stop the program on a normal way - is also gone.

Thanks for your help, I wil order for a full version. Very nice program!!

Glad you found it. Is there any way for you to get that file to me? (Put it on a website?)

Sure! I let you know on what website I will put it. I am happy the text of the song is in Dutch,  it is a little ...........  :-X    ;)

Do you know there is a possibility to pay for this program on another way than by creditcard? I don't have one (not so popular in Holland).

Thanks. I've fixed Media Center so it can import that file.

But, that file is corrupt (and won't play in Media Center). Are you sure that it can play in other players?

Indeed, the file is corrupt. A WAV-file with a size of 1.3 MB??? I found the song on 128 kB/s with a size of 1.9 MB...

I thought it was a good idea to analyse the file by Media Center but when I opened the file Media Center crashed. Burning the file or playing in Windows Media Player or Cool Edit was not a problem. That was the reason I never noticed the wrong file. Maybe it is not a good idea to fix Media Center for corrupt files  ;)

Anyway, I think your support is very nice, my order is on your way!
