Bug with "Fill Properties From Filename"
« on: August 22, 2002, 04:12:16 pm »

MJ version 8.0.348
Windows XP

When I put the following in to fill in the properties from filename, it adds the last "]" rather than leaving it off:

[ARTIST - ALBUM]-[TRACK#][TITLE]

Any fixes?

You shouldn't need any brackets or spaces. Just try

ARTIST-ALBUM-TRACK#-TITLE

It's one of the predefined ones.

I am using this feature because I already have files without information in the database.  The file name already exist with brackets, and if I use the predefined one you mentioned, it leaves the brackets rather than removing them.  This is why I created the template with brackets.  It works with the exception of the last bracket which it leaves on.

Ahhh. I see. I'm not entirely sure how Fill Properties is supposed to work in that situation, but you can always use Find And Replace to remove all the ]'s from the names.
