CD Burn problem
« on: July 18, 2007, 06:06:05 pm »

Can burn music CD's with any other burner except MediaCenter which is a pity.   Have a Pioneer DVR108.   Starts burning and stops about 30% through the compilation and shows "command sequence error" .    Another donut is produced.   Have had this problem with MC for last few versions.    Any clues?
Only have Nero installed as alternative burnr at present.     Have tried other burners in the past and no problems.  Must be a conflict somewhere?

Can you copy your system info from MC Help and post it here?

It may not be the problem, but please try updating from our downloads page or the link at the top of this board.

Just as an update before I put this problem in the bottom drawer again, have tried another MC CD burn and it stopped with "command sequence error" after 30% written...about 6 of 17 tracks.  I don't understand why all other burners I've tried in the past can burn OK.   If I thought it was the burner hardware I would replace it.   Anyways I'll get back to the problem sometime later.    Thanks for trying.

Try slowing down the burn speed.

Take a look at any other software that is using the drive.  Nero used to do some strange things.  Anything else that could be running in the background?

Make sure you have enough temp file space.

it's go..go..go !!        Removed Nero completely and also reduced cd write speed by about half.     Not sure which action proved successful.     Will continue to fiddle while nero does not burn.   Many thanks.

Nero did not burn. He fiddled while ROME burned (or so I'm told)   ;) . Hope you get your problem resolved.
